" EL ATAQUE DE DEADSHOOT "

After apprehending the The Penguin, the Batman and Robin return to the Batcave for some well-deserved rest. They begin some light-hearted sparring with one another, but the fun ends when Robin receives a distress call from Wonder Girl. He doesn't want to leave Bruce, but Batman urges him to attend his teammates in the Teen Titans.

Meanwhile at Gotham Prison, the warden ushers the Penguin into a cell next to Floyd Lawton, aka, Deadshot. The Penguin brags about his special laser monocle which he intends on using to escape from prison, but Deadshot snatches it from him and uses it to affect his own escape.

That evening, Batman goes to the Tobacconists' Club for an impromptu visit with city councilman Rupert Thorne. He criticizes him for the recent cease and desist against him and warns Thorne that from now on, they will play things "Batman's way". After Batman leaves his office, Rupert Thorne receives a haunting visitation by the ghost of Hugo Strange.

The following day, Bruce Wayne meets Silver St. Cloud at the Gotham Convention Center. Silver's company is hosting the event and while there, they run into Commissioner Gordon. Gordon tells Bruce Wayne about the recent escape of Deadshot. His mind hankers back to the first time that he fought against Deadshot.

He then takes Silver to the Fox Gardens restaurant for lunch. Silver asks him a lot of questions and Bruce fears that she may suspect that he is Batman.

That night, Bruce goes on patrol as Batman, but he doesn't have far to go before he runs afoul of Deadshot. The two fight atop the Ellsworth Building and eventually make their way back to the convention center where they trade shots while leaping across a Giant Typewriter. Batman traps Deadshot behind the over-sized carriage return. Deadshot knows he is beaten and surrenders. As Batman looks up, he sees Silver St. Cloud staring back at him. She recognizes Batman as Bruce Wayne.

Elsewhere, the Joker plans his next nefarious scheme.

" EL PEZ SONRIENTE "

The night following Deadshot’s capture at ’s Exhibition Hall, The Batman visits Silver St. Cloud in her apartment thinking she has something to say to him. Even though she is startled, she tells him that she doesn’t know anything about what happened except what she saw and doesn’t know Deadshot. She takes him by surprise by saying that “I have a date with Bruce Wayne. Do you know each other?” He suspects that maybe she doesn’t know that he is Bruce Wayne and leaves saying that he made a mistake. As he leaves The Batman hears screams for help on ’s docks. He responds and finds fisherman upset about their catch.. The Batman can’t believe his eyes as he sees fish with the Jokers face. The fisherman explains “All of ’em! And it’s all the same for everybody else The next morning the Jokers fish seems to be the only newsworthy story. The Joker visits the Copyright Commission to make business arrangements for his fish. He finds himself outraged when Carl G. Francis informs him that fish are a natural resource and that they can’t be copyrighted. The Joker tells Mr. Francis if he doesn’t comply by midnight he’ll be the poorest fish of all. The Joker visits Boss Thorne next and tells him “that he also was a bidder for Batman's identity and knows that he is behind Prof. Hugo Strange’s disappearance.” Thorne goes crazy running out the building pushing his driver out of the way and takes the wheel of his limousine and screeches’ off. Later Thorne picks up Silver St. Cloud who also seems to be leaving town. That night the Batman along with Commissioner Gordon and the police plan to stop the Joker from killing Carl G. Francis. To no avail the Joker succeeds in killing Mr. Francis with a gas that was part of a binary compound and announces that the number 2 bureaucrat will be next if he doesn’t get his way.

" EL SIGNO DEL JOKER! "

The Joker still wants the copyright to his Joker-fish and promises to kill the number 2 bureaucrat if he gets no cooperation. The Gotham Police surround the number 2 bureaucrat Thomas Jackson’s House. Inside with Commissioner Gordon, the Batman disguises himself as Thomas Jackson and Jackson as Batman intending to confuse the Jokers plan of murder. Jackson’s cat walks into the room and inside his mouth a Joker-fish. Maddened, affected by the fish it quickly jumps at the throat of its master, killing him as a hideous grin spreads over Thomas Jackson's face. The Joker announces his success on the television and vows to kill the next member of the commission in the next two hours.

After Boss Thorne picked up a hitchhiking Silver St. Cloud ,he's gets angry with her disliking the topic of discussion and kicks her out of his vehicle. She walks to a small airport nearby thinking of chartering a flight. Later on as Boss Thorne drives through the storm he sees the ghost of Hugo Strange. It spirits through Boss Thorne’s windshield choking him. With the police surrounding the apartment of the third bureaucrat, the Batman surprises the Joker who was disguised as a policeman. Their climatic confrontation ends up outside where a storm is raging. They face off on a girder above Gotham River at a nearby construction site. The Joker squirts acid from his badge. The Batman makes a desperate leap for safety as lightning hits the girder. The Joker falls to his seeming death. Silver gets out of a taxi to see the battles end. The Batman scans the river for the Joker, as she approaches him. She explains and says” I love you—but I couldn’t live never knowing what each night would bring! Never knowing when your luck would run out!” As she leaves, Commissioner Gordon approaches the Batman telling him that Boss Thorne was picked up babbling every crime he ever committed and that he was now free of all "Cease and Desist " charges that were against him.
