The Flash #4 - Kill the Kilg%re

" KILL THE KILG%ORE "

Wally, Tina, and Prof. Schmitz are taken to Salt Lake City to discuss the Kilg%re situation with National Security. However, Kilg%re is present in the building's electrical systems and sabotages the meeting. Wally and two security guards are able to defeat it momentarily by disconnecting the many wires attached to the hulking robot form it had created for itself. 

Wally decides to go to New York and seek the advice of Cyborg. Before he leaves, he and Tina express their feelings for each other. 

Cyborg concocts a plan to scare Kilg%re out of the electrical grid by simultaneously shutting down all powers systems worldwide. He and Wally fly back to Salt Lake City. Here, they examine the large metal dome Kilg%re had built outside of STAR Labs. They discover that it contains a cloning facility. Kilg%re had used the facility to clone a cyborg Prof. Schmitz from the finger it had removed. 

After Cyborg's plan is put into place and the world's power grid is shut down, the Schmitz clone escapes and begins to run through the desert. Wally follows him, and witnesses a gigantic metal snakelike behemoth barreling towards Schmitz clone. Kilg%re was using the last of its energy to try and connect with the clone and transfer its consciousness to him. Wally grabbed the clone and managed to outrace Kilg%re, keeping it separate from Schmitz until it ran out of power.

Forever Evil: Rogues Rebellion #3 - Dark Night

" DARK NIGHT "

Poison Ivy captura a los Rogues y le da su beso mortal a Trickster. La mujer le dice al resto de los Rogues que para salvar a su compañero Weather Wizard debe controlar el clima y darle luz solar a su jardín, pues el eclipse que provocó Ultraman impide que esto suceda. Weather Wizard le explica que no puede hacerlo, pero la mujer insiste que deben hallar la manera o Trickster morirá. 

Heatwave y Mirror Master van a una bodega de industrias Wayne para encontrar unas piezas que este último necesita para crear una pistola de espejos, esto con el fin de crear varios espejos capaces de reflejar la luz del sol hacía el jardín de Ivy. Allí son atacados por soldados Manbats pues invadieron su territorio, pero la pareja de ladrones logra derrotarlos y escapan del lugar. 

Poison Ivy cura a Trickster y Mirror Master le da los rayos solares que la mujer quería, pero ella quiere más. La luz es tan intensa que llama la atención de otro Manbat que los ataca, pero al igual que los anteriores es derrotado. Pero el espectáculo también trajo a Mister Freeze acompañado de Clayface.

Great Sagas DC Presents: Crisis on Multiple Earths Vol. 2: Justice League of America #74 - Where Death Fears To Tread!

" WHERE DEATH FEARS TO TREAD! "

After the JLA learn of the JSA's crisis from Red Tornado, they leave to aid them vs. Aquarius. Meanwhile, as both Fate's and GL (Alan)'s energies begin to wane inside their bubble due to exhaustion, Aquarius saves them, but makes them his slaves. Under his control, they fight the JLA, and as Starman's rod energies begin to increase dramatically, an enormous energy ball forms, which threatens to kill Black Canary, trapped by one of Green Arrow's stickum shafts. Her husband, Larry, awakens from Aquarius's control and sacrifices his life to save her. Both teams then regroup and fight Aquarius and defeat him. Canary then leaves the JSA for Earth-1 permanently over her husband's loss.

Batman #405 - War Is Declared

" WAR IS DECLARED "

Early in the morning Detective Gordon is called to a hostage crisis. He arrives just in time to prevent the hot-head Branden from leading a S.W.A.T Team raid that will surely end in disaster. Single-handedly, he manages to take out the bad guy, making him a hero in all the papers.

But, James Gordon's heroism is soon eclipsed by 'The Batman' a vigilante who seems to be busting up criminals up the ladder from street level dealers and muggers to distributors to dealers and bosses. But when 'The Batman' breaks in on a party of bigwigs at the mayor's mansion and threatens them, he becomes Gotham's Public Enemy #1.

'The Batman' has found at least one ally, though, in the form of District Attorney Harvey Dent who's fed up with seeing his witnesses come up dead or missing whenever he tries to go after the big fish.

Can Batman, even with Harvey's help escape the entire Gotham police dragnet?

The Flash #3 - The Kilg%ore

" THE KILG%ORE "

After receiving a speeding ticket, Wally West returns home to his new mansion to find a note from Frances Kane saying that she has moved out. 

Wally heads to STAR Labs in Salt Lake City, where he is studied by Prof. Bill Schmitz and Tina McGee. He hopes that with their help, he can break the sound barrier once again. 

However, during one of his practice runs, Wally sees a gigantic metallic monstrosity in the desert. It follows him back to the laboratory, where cuts off Schmitz's finger and enters the electrical systems. Through the computer, it announces that its name is Kilg%re. It demonstrates its power by electrocuting a STAR Labs security guard who is talking on the telephone. 

Kilg%re disappears until the next morning, when a National Security agent arrives at the lab to announce that Kilg%re has taken control over all television stations. Wally, Tina, and Schmitz agree to go with the agent into town. En route, Wally notices that Schmitz's finger has somehow reappeared.

Forever Evil: Rogues Rebellion #2 - Shattered

" SHATTERED "

Los Rogues se enfrentan a Power Ring y Deathstorm, este último toma a Capitan Cold y reescribe su código genético restaurándolo a la normalidad, quitándole así sus poderes. 

Ante la amenaza de los poderes de Deathstorm los Rogues deciden huir a través de uno de los reflejos de Mirror Master, sin embargo antes de que logren irse por completo Power Ring destruye el vidrio por el que se teletransportaron lo que provoca que la mayoría del grupo termine en el centro de Metrópolis, mientras que Capitan Cold aparece en otro lugar. Mirror Master logra comunicarse con Cold y le informa que cerca de donde está se encuentra Lex Luthor y un ser parecido a Superman, Cold decide ir a buscar a estos dos y le dice a Mirror Master que mientras estén separados lo nombra jefe de los Rogues. 

Los Rogues son atacados por Archer a quien noquean con un solo golpe. Sin embargo aparece Parasite dispuesto a devorarlos, este les cuenta que el Crime Syndicate prometió una gran recompensa a quien los asesine por lo que son buscados en todo el país. El equipo logra huir de Parasite gracias a otro reflejo de Mirror Master, en está ocasión aparecen en Gotham donde son atrapados por las enredaderas de Poison Ivy.

Demon Knights #1 - Seven Against the Dark

Four centuries ago, Camelot fell. King Arthur died and the legendary Excalibur returned to the Lady of the Lake. Meanwhile, Merlin, having forseen Jason Blood's destiny, bonds him with the demon Etrigan. 

In "present day" (but still the Dark Ages), the Questing Queen and Mordru search for an unknown objective. Their next point of attack is a little village named Little Spring. There, Jason Blood and Madame Xanadu are on their pilgrimage when they cross paths with another immortal: Vandal Savage. They take a drink with him when their attention is called by the Shining Knight, who does not believe them to have been present at the Fall of Camelot. At the same time, the bartender has trouble with two travelers named Al Jabr and Exoristos. The bartender won't serve Al Jabr, but Exoristos roughly convinces him to do so. Meanwhile, a priest is attacked by three robbers when he is saved by a mysterious horsewoman. Back at Little Spring, the bar gets attacked by the Questing Queen's horde. Then, Jason decides to transform himself to Etrigan to fight them off. Xanadu apparently feels a mayor attraction for Etrigan than she does for Jason. While everybody fights off the Horde, Mordru casts a dragon to attack the bar.

Green Arrow Year One #1 - Part One

" YEAR ONE PART 1 "

Oliver Queen and his partner Hackett go mountain climbing across a frozen tundra. Hackett saves Ollie from nearly falling into a ravine, and criticizes him for his recklessness. 

Three days later, the two return to Star City where they appear at a charity auction fundraiser for the Star City Drug and Rehabilitation Center. Ollie is inebriated and makes a spectacle of himself – particularly when he makes an outrageous bid for the prop bow used by archer Howard Hill in the film The Adventures of Robin Hood. Ollie takes the stage after the auction, and embarrasses himself by throwing up into a wastepaper basket. 

The two leave, and Ollie is mortified over his behavior. He tells Hackett that he wishes to go with him on a business trip involving some of Queen's Industries offshore accounts. Hackett tries to talk him out of it, but Ollie insists on coming along. He cannot bear to be in the public spotlight after the fundraiser fiasco. 

On the luxury ship The Pacific Queen, Ollie learns that Hackett has been embezzling money on behalf of a criminal named China White. He didn't want Ollie involved, but knew that his presence on the journey threatened to expose China White's operations. Hackett holds Queen at gunpoint, but Ollie knocks him down with a punch to the jaw. Hackett responds with a head-butt and Ollie collapses onto the deck. China White telephones Hackett and orders him to shoot Queen. Hackett doesn’t want to murder Ollie in cold blood, so he dumps him overboard.

JLA: Year One #1 - Justice League of America: Year One

" JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: YEAR ONE "

Somewhere in a dark room a man watches television on several monitors about some new super heroes that have popped up on the scene recently. These heroes are The Flash - in real life named Barry Allen, an oftentimes bored criminal scientist; the Green Lantern aka Hal Jordan, an overconfident test pilot; Black Canary aka as Dinah Lance who not only took over the superhero identity of her mother, but also her flower shop; the alien Martian Manhunter who disguises himself as the quiet police detective John Jones; and finally Aquaman, the lord of the seven seas. 

All five of them recently worked together against mysterious beings which may be part of an alien invasion. Despite having different feelings about their teamwork, the five heroes meet again on request of the US Army to hand over two of the alien creatures which the heroes were able to capture. The aliens are hidden in a secret cave, but as the heroes enter this cave they find dozens of masked men in uniforms who apparently try to kidnap the two massive alien beings. As the two creatures suddenly awake, a furious battle between the three factions begins. The outcome for the heroes is not very successful as they are not used to act as a team and do not know each others powers and skills very well. In the end, the masked men escape with one of the alien creatures via teleportation which leaves only one alien to the US Army. 

As the five heroes talk about their team effort, they are being monitored by the leaders of the "Locus" organization. They intend to keep a close eye on the young band of super heroes ...

More Fun Comics #73 Case of the Namesake Murders / The Submarine Strikes

" AQUAMAN AND GREEN ARROW FIRST APPEARANCE "

st appearance of Green Arrow and Aquaman. Writer Mort Weisinger and artist George Papp ushered in the era of Green Arrow by foregoing a traditional origin story and joining the brand new hero and his sidekick Speedy in the middle of what appeared to be a lively adventuring career, subtly implying to readers that this was an established, popular feature and not one still finding its feet. As his name suggested, Green Arrow was a Robin Hood like character who could solve any dilemma with the application of archery. This included stringing a line between two rooftops for a high wire balancing act and firing shafts into a wall to create an impromptu ladder. The last story of this issue introduced Aquaman, King of the 7 seas. Aquaman wasn't the first underwater hero - DC's rival Funnies Inc had introduced a character called Namor the Sub-Mariner in their publication Marvel Comics #1 (1939) - but he filled a niche among DC's costumed adventurers. Featuring artwork of Paul Norris, the story showed off Aquaman's array of powers including super-strength, the ability to breathe underwater, and an understanding of the language of ocean creatures.

Action Comics #584 - Squatter!

" SQUATTER "

Superman is seen going on a destructive rampage, gloating about the power he wields in his hands. Cyborg of the Teen Titans tries to confront Superman, but loses some cybernetic limbs in the process. He manages to call Changeling and Wonder Girl, who arrive on scene to try stopping Superman, but they also fail. Jericho arrives and locks eyes with Superman, allowing him to enter his body in order to keep him under check until a handicapped man named David Gunderson arrives, claiming to be Superman. He reveals that he is Superman and that David Gunderson has used a mind-swapping invention to switch his mind with Gunderson's and locked him up in the scientist's house. He manages to escape, and now with Jericho flying Superman's body, Superman activates the machine again, putting his mind and Gunderson's back into their original bodies.

Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn #3 - The Ring

" THE RING "

While Green Lantern is fighting with a yellow alien, he wonders why his ring seems to have no effect. As the powerful alien becomes more aggressive, Hal's concentration breaks, and his connection to the ring's energy is broken. Enraged, the alien leaves, wondering what happened to the Green Lantern's trail.

Hal is confused and depressed, and in an effort to get back to what he knows, he hitchhikes to the hospital where his recently paralyzed friend Andy is resting. However, when he arrives, the car is stopped by a police blockade. The police inform Hal that the hospital has been destroyed by the yellow alien, with no apparent survivors. When Hal realizes that the hospital's destruction is his own fault, he realizes that Ferris Aircraft is also in danger.

Unfortunately, Ferris Aircraft has also been destroyed, and knowing that the yellow alien is searching for the Green Lantern, that is what Hal resolves to be. He returns to the crash site of Abin Sur's spacecraft, hoping to find the power battery for his ring. When he discovers a large green lantern, and holds the ring to it, he is pulled toward it by a powerful force, and finds himself back in his Green Lantern uniform.

Hal, confounded, asks the ring what it's doing to him and is surprised to receive a response. The ring explains that he must charge it using the battery every 24 hours. Hal asks about the yellow alien's origins, and the ring reveals that the alien is known as Legion, and has killed four Green Lanterns including Abin Sur. The ring creates a projection of the events leading to Abin Sur's death, but as soon as it ends, the real Legion appears and attacks.

Realizing that the ring has no effect against a the yellow alien, and knowing that he is in a secluded area, Hal decides to use the ship's fission reactors to cause a nuclear blast, in an attempt to defeat Legion.

Great Sagas DC Presents: Crisis on Multiple Earths Vol. 2: Justice League of America #73 - Star Light, Star Bright-Death Star I See Tonight!

" STAR LIGHT, STAR BRIGHT-DEATH STAR I SEE TONIGHT! "

This issue features the first appearance of the Earth-2 Superman and Earth-2 Wonder Woman.

In the secret sanctuary of the Justice League, we find the Red Tornado (who helped the team last issue against the Chthoric demons) explaining why he has come to Earth 1 from his native Earth - 2. It begins with Ted (Starman) Knight observing some strange movements in the heavens and going to investigate as Starman. Slowly taking shape, the being Aquarius grabs Starman's cosmic rod and drops the hero from a great height.

A wounded Starman is tended by Dinah (Black Canary) Lance and her husband Larry. Without warning, as Black Canary investigates what is going on, she is attacked from behind by her husband Larry, who has no recollection of doing so. Black Canary sends out the JSA emergency signal.

On his way to respond, Green Lantern encounters living advertisements, whom he has to waste precious time battling, while Doctor Mid-nite encounters a super powered child. The boy, once overcome by a blackout bomb, has no recollection of what happened. Meanwhile Doctor Fate is heading for Black Canary, when he comes under attack from Evil emanations that seem to stem from a raincloud overhead. Suddenly Doctor Fate finds himself engulfed by raindrops of fire. Battling with his astral bolts to the best of his ability, Dr Fate is forced backwards by the power of Aquarius until he lands at the feet of the other JSA members.

Aquarius plans to bring chaos and destruction to Earth-2 and the JSA cannot stop him. Superman lands a haymaker of Aquarius, but that just gets him angry, and using Starman's rod to amplify his own magical powers, he lashes out at the Man of Steel. With Superman injured, Wonder Woman casts her lasso towards Starman's cosmic rod. However, Aquarius causes a heat wave so ferocious that the Amazon Princess must retreat to stay alive. Encouraged by Larry Lance, the remaining JSA members rush Aquarius together. Aquarius expended much energy in his last attack and needs to rest - but when he does, he vows to break through Dr Fate's protective shield and complete the work he has begun. However, he is unaware that Dr Fate did one more thing during the confusion of the last few moments - he sent Red Tornado to Earth-1 to return with the Justice League.

James Gordon joins the police force of Gotham City, only to find that it's corrupt to it's very core. Bruce Wayne, a millionaire by inheritance returns to Gotham City, only to find it's infested with crime. Both men will stop at nothing to make a difference, Gordon by standing up to the powers-that-be in the G.C.P.D. and Wayne by disguising his appearance and waging a one-man war on crime. Both learn very quickly that the only way they'll succeed is by instilling fear in their enemies.

The Flash #2 - Heart...of Stone!

" HEART... OF STONE! "

Wally and Vandal Savage battle in Wally's apartment. Wally manages to drive him out of the apartment, but Savage disappears. Wally does some research on the private investigator who he saw Savage murder in Wyoming, and determines that the the immortal man has been masquerading as Burt Villers, owner of an antiques gallery on Fifth Avenue. 

Wally claims the six and a half million dollars he won in the lottery, and then treats Frances to a night on the town, taking advantage of his newfound wealth. Their date is cut short at the swank Club Neon, however, after Vandal Savage appears. Frances manages to hold Savage off while Wally rescues a woman who has been tossed out the window. Together, they manage to defeat him, but he disappears again. 

The next day, Wally brings Frances to the new mansion he purchased in the Hamptons, and invites her to live with him.

Forever Evil: Rogues Rebellion #1 - Homecoming

" HOMECOMING "

Tras la reunión organizada por el Crime Syndicate, los Rogues regresan a ciudad Central para encontrarla devastada, descubriendo que el responsable es Grodd. El equipo encuentra al cuerpo de policía de la ciudad encadenado a unos árboles, Capitan Cold ordena que liberen a los oficiales y luego se dirigen al hospital para visitar a Lisa Snart, deteniendo en el camino a varios delincuentes que provocaban estragos. 

A la ciudad llega un equipo de villanos enviados por el Crime Syndicate con el fin de terminar el trabajo de Grodd, destruir la ciudad para que sea tomada como ejemplo a cualquiera que decida revelarse. Los Rogues deciden enfrentar a estos villanos para defender su ciudad logrando derrotarlos a todos. Por esto llegan Deathstorm y Power Ring, dos miembros del Crime Syndicate, a acabar con los Rogues.
