Invincible #4 "1st Story"

Mark flies into the Teen Team base and asks Robot to find out who it is who turning the teens at his school into bombs. Robot accepts and Mark heads home to comfort his worrying mother after his father was kidnapped by the Flaxans. 

The next day, Mark and Eve talk about how to find out who is killing the students. After falls sleep during the lecture. The teacher, David Hiles, calls Eve and Mark "lovebirds, causing the entire class to laugh. Eve gets a call from Robot while Rex and him are fighting a villain. Robot informs Eve that they believe that David Hiles is the suspect. 

After changing costume, David reveals himself to be the criminal, also revealing that he knows Mark is Invincible and Eve is Atom Eve. He shows him the more recent victim, Derek Sanders. He also reveals that he has a bomb on his set to detonate in 50 seconds. Mark grabs him and flies him to Antarctica and throws him. He meets up with Eve and goes home. 

His father arrives, battle damaged from escaping the Flaxan dimension. Mark tells his mother about his day and Nolan does the same, telling her about being in the Flaxan dimension for almost 8 months, citing that their time spread is different than theirs. Deborah Grayson then asks who wants dessert.

Invincible #3 - Chapter Three (Family Matters TPB)

" CHAPTER 3 (FAMILY MATTERS tpb) "

There's been a rash of disappearances at Mark's high school and no one can quite find a connection between them. After a while, Mark goes out on patrol with Nolan and they run into a group of universe conquering Flaxians who they manage to slow down until they retreat due to the aging effects that the Earth has on them. After fighting off the Flaxians, Mark and Nolan find one of the missing students in the Lakeside Mall with a bomb in his chest. Before it can explode, Nolan throws him through the hole in the roof. Before the two can go back home, Nolan is suddenly captured by the Flaxians.

Invincible #2 - "Chapter Two (Family Matters TPB)"

" CHAPTER TWO (FAMILY MATTERS tpb) "

Nolan explains his origins as an alien dedicated to the protection of the Earth to a young Mark. In the present day, Mark is restless and unable to sleep so decides to go out for a fly. He manages to intervene in The Mauler Twins's attempt to steal gameboxes and meets up with the Teen Team for the first time. 

The next day, Mark, Atom Eve and Robot seek out The Mauler Twins hideout to figure out why he was attempting to steal video game consoles. The three break in on The Mauler Twins, who are apparently creating killer robots with console processors, and make short work of them. After defeating the enemy, Robot tells Mark that he's welcome to join the team. 

Meanwhile, in the Twin Pines Mall, a teenager with a bomb in his chest explodes.

Invincible #1 "Chapter One (Family Matters TPB)"

" CHAPTER ONE (FAMILY MATTERS tpb) "

Four months after Mark Grayson decided on the superhero alias Invincible, he found himself flying a man with a bomb attached to his chest to Antarctica before his bomb detonates. He throws him and flies off. 

Four months prior, Mark is getting ready for school. He sees his father, Omni-Man, fighting Mister Liu's astral projection on TV. 

Later after school ends, his friend, William Clockwell, asks him to hang out at but Mark refuses, citing that he must work. He takes out the trash and throws it into the air, realizing that he now has finally developed superpowers. 

That night, Mark would jump off his room balcony believing that would be able to acheive flight. He successfully does so and fights thieves. His father take note of it and takes him to get a new costume. 

After stopping a kid from getting bullied. He gets a lecture from Principal Winslow commending him for standing up to the bigger kid, but stating that he isn't "Invincible". This give Mark an idea for his superhero name. 

Later that afternoon, Mark stops some thieves who attempt to shoot him, but he rebuffs and says that "I wouldn't try that, I'm Invincible."
