Billy Bat cuenta la historia de Kevin Yamagata, un autor de origen japonés nacido en Estados Unidos que se dedica a ilustrar historietas para la editorial Marble, para la que crea a un detective caricaturesco que resuelve crímenes, en un mundo habitado sólo por animales. Su nombre: Billy Bat, un murciélago de carácter frío, que siempre llega a la verdad en los asuntos donde mete el hocico. Sin embargo, poco después descubre que su dibujo no es original y que incluso está relacionado con misterios que implican el mismo devenir de la humanidad...

Spike: Old times #1

" SPIKE: OLD TIMES "

By coincidence, Spike and several-hundred-year-old Vengeance Demon Halfrek bumped into each other in a bar in Los Angeles. Centuries earlier, Spike had known Halfrek as Cecily, who had been the object of his affections. Spike soon discovered she was after another hopeless poet, Lenny. He was a descendant of one of the party-goers who attended the party where Cecily rejected William. 

Spike learned that every man in this family died on his 30th birthday and that Halfrek caused all their deaths. At that point, he made it his goal to save Lenny, just to spite Halfrek. He managed to get Lenny past attacking demons and an almost-accident with a truck, and took him to an orphanage. Using the children as a "cover" of sorts, he made Halfrek lift the curse. Lenny was so over-joyed that he did not look where he was going and fell out of a window. 

Spike later visited the grave of Bela Lugosi where Halfrek told Spike that one of Lenny's ancestors was the first man she ever cursed, which attracted the Master of Vengeance Demons, D'Hoffryn. She revealed that she actually liked William's poetry and they kissed. Then, in the "throes of passion", Spike told her that she is beneath him.

Invincible #1 "Chapter One (Family Matters TPB)"

" CHAPTER ONE (FAMILY MATTERS tpb) "

Four months after Mark Grayson decided on the superhero alias Invincible, he found himself flying a man with a bomb attached to his chest to Antarctica before his bomb detonates. He throws him and flies off. 

Four months prior, Mark is getting ready for school. He sees his father, Omni-Man, fighting Mister Liu's astral projection on TV. 

Later after school ends, his friend, William Clockwell, asks him to hang out at but Mark refuses, citing that he must work. He takes out the trash and throws it into the air, realizing that he now has finally developed superpowers. 

That night, Mark would jump off his room balcony believing that would be able to acheive flight. He successfully does so and fights thieves. His father take note of it and takes him to get a new costume. 

After stopping a kid from getting bullied. He gets a lecture from Principal Winslow commending him for standing up to the bigger kid, but stating that he isn't "Invincible". This give Mark an idea for his superhero name. 

Later that afternoon, Mark stops some thieves who attempt to shoot him, but he rebuffs and says that "I wouldn't try that, I'm Invincible."

The Flash #1 "Presenting...the new Flash; Happy birthday Wally"

" HAPPY BIRTHDAY WALLY "

Wally's Titans friends throw a surprise party for his twentieth birthday. During the party, he gets an emergency call from the hospital. He is needed to deliver a heart for a transplant patient, writer Eugenie Hedstrom, from New York to Seattle. He convinces the doctors to give him health insurance in return for his help.

While passing through Wyoming, he witnesses Vandal Savage throttle a private investigator to death.

After delivering the heart and speaking with Hedstrom, Wally flies back to New York. The Third World Liberation Army attempts to hijack the flight, but Wally stops them, spraining his wrist in the process. Upon returning to his apartment, he discovers that a lottery ticket he had purchased before the party just made him a millionaire. Then he notices a present he had not seen before. Opening it, he discovers a human heart. Vandal Savage is in his apartment.

" AL TERCER DIA "

Jesús va con su familia - cuyo miembro más locuaz parece ser su hija adolescente, muy preocupada por si puede quedarse embarazada por tragarse el semen de alguno de sus múltiples novios- a enterrar a su difunto perro. Por lo visto el cementerio canino es contiguo al humano y cuando están en medio de la ceremonia los muertos comienzan a volver a la vida con malísimas intenciones. La familia sale huyendo pero no sin quedar antes infectados, por lo que Jesús ha de cargárselos y escapar corriendo de la policía y los enfurecidos ciudadanos que le toman por un asesino enloquecido. Cuando, un mes después, vuelve a la luz nada ha cambiado y nada sigue igual: los no muertos se han apoderado del mundo aunque este sigue “andando” como si tal cosa. Jesús si ha cambiado, ahora es el último hombre vivo y para seguir la tradición inicia su particular cruzada contra cuanto zombi se le ponga por delante.

Scarlett and Duke are thrown out of a plane, and given 24 hours to complete an unknown mission. They are picked up by Connie, who helps them determine that they need to go to the burn unit at the hospital. They find a burn victim: Snake Eyes. The ATF and Army C.I.D both try to apprehend a man. He killed his family, and blew up the plastic surgery center where he got a new face, so no one knows what he looks like. He heads to the hospital to try to kill Snake Eyes, who is the only survivor.
